Isaiah 40–43 • Words. Truth. Support. Example.
Fear Not Lab
Hear what God promises His covenant people, learn the three steps of a message of comfort, and shape a message of your own.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee.” Begin with the Lord’s own words in Isaiah 41.
Hear the promise
What God invites, and what God promises
Read Isaiah 41:10–14. God spoke these words to covenant people who would be captives far from home. Some phrases invite them to do something. Others promise what He will do. Decide where each belongs.
“Fear thou not”
Isaiah 41:10
“I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee”
Isaiah 41:10
“be not dismayed”
Isaiah 41:10
“I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”
Isaiah 41:10
“I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand”
Isaiah 41:13
Decide where each phrase belongs. You can change any answer.
Learn the three steps

“Fear not, I am with thee; oh, be not dismayed” (“How Firm a Foundation”, verse 3)
